Grown
I buzzed the back of Izaak's hair tonight. Upon seeing his reflection he yelled out, "Ah!! Mom, I'm so hairy! I'm a grown man!!"

Hardcore
When my teacher tells us we can use a calculator for math,
sometimes I like to be a hardcore Mr. and not use one.

Olivia Explains it All
Overheard...
Olivia - Izaak, I know you really don't like to have this debate, but I really think that .999 repeating IS equal to 1.
Izaak - But, they're TWO DIFFERENT NUMBERS because 1.0 and 0.9 without the repeating numbers are different.
Olivia - That doesn't make sense to me. This is my explanation: So, I'm talking about fractions and decimals. Zero thirds (0/3) is zero repeating, one third (1/3) is .333 repeating, and two thirds (2/3) is .666 repeating. So, what should three thirds (3/3) be? I think it should be .999 repeating because each time you are adding .333 repeating. But, three thirds is also 1. That's why I think .999 repeating is equal to 1 because I use fractions and decimals to explain it better for me.
Izaak - Oh! I like my idea better though.
Olivia - Okay, then let's come up with a good explanation for you!

When Izaak Grows Up
Izaak - Mom, when I grow up, I'm gonna buy two restaurants so I can be rich.
Me - That sounds like a good idea...
Izaak - I'll buy McDonald's and Dairy Queen. Yeah, I won't eat at McDonald's because it's gross but a lot of people eat there and the chicken nuggets are like H-E-double hockey sticks.
Me - Uh...
Izaak - I like Dairy Queen hot dogs though.
Me - ...and ice cream!
Izaak - Well, of course the ice cream! Duh!
Me - Yeah, duh!
Izaak - Then when enough people eat at my restaurants and I'm rich, my job is gonna be Lego Builder.
Me - Dude, that sounds like the perfect job for you.
Izaak - You know what I'm gonna buy with all my money?
Me - Legos!
Izaak - Well, yeah Legos... but, I'm gonna get a super powered microscope so I can see sub atomic particles!
Me - Awesome!

Pi Poster
Izaak ~ Mom, you know that poster of Pi that I have at Dad's house?
Me ~ Yeah.
Izaak ~ We counted all of the of the digits on it, one at a time, and it took us THREE DAYS!
Me ~ Wha... Whoa!
Izaak ~ [Laughs] No we didn't!! I tricked you mom! I just used multiplication to figure it out.
Me ~ Ha ha ha... very funny Izaak.
Izaak ~ Yeah, I just counted up the rows and columns and multiplied them. There were 100 rows. I had to add 99 to my answer because in the first row, the decimal point took up one space. Yeah, I added 99 to make up for that.
Me ~ Dude, that's awesome. What was the answer?
Izaak ~ 27,299!
